Dr. Lago and Dr. Corallo hold a world-class Colon and Rectal Symposium where speakers from throughout the country discuss and present colon & rectal topics. This has helped the local education of nurses, health professionals, and assisted physicians in our communities to keep up with new trends in colon and rectal disease treatment. Last year the conferences drew in close to 200 participants from across the county and state.
At The Colon & Rectal Clinic of Fort Lauderdale, we are committed to the well-being of our community. Dr. Lago has been very active with the American Cancer Society; he has served as chairman of the state subcommittee for Colon and Rectal Cancer for the State of Florida in the American Cancer Society as well as initiating the Colon & Rectal Cancer Task Force for Broward County. Dr. Lago has also served on the Board of Directors for the American Cancer Society in Broward County and has participated in the relay for life, which is a fundraiser for cancer victims.
